As you may be aware, the Government has recently announced that they would like to start asymptomatic testing of staff and pupils in schools from 4 January 2021, and we are exploring ways to support this before Trustees' approval
At the moment, the guidance is quite limited, but we understand that the roles we may need help with are:-
  • Test Assistant -  Provides guidance and supervision to subjects on swabbing. Collects completed swabs and pass them to the Processor and ensures cleaning
  • Processor -  Prepares test sample for analysis, and interprets result. Provides results to 'Results Recorder'. Ensures cleaning of processing bays.
  • Registration Assistant - Responsible for registering and distributing test kits on arrival.
  • Results Recorder -  Collates results from Processing Operatives and uploads to digital solution.
If you may be able to support in any way, then please email with your contact details, some background information, and details of how and when you might be available to help, along with any current DBS details. We anticipate that testing will be conducted between approximately 9am and 4pm on weekdays for most of January at least.
