As you may be aware, we have a vacancy on the Solent Schools' Board of Governors for a Parent Governor. Please give a little background, highlighting any skills or experience that you could bring to the role and the value that you could add to our team.
The time commitment is generally two meetings each half term which are held on Tuesdays from 1700 and usually last between one and a half and two hours. In addition, there are papers to study between meetings and on-line training which can be done at times to suit you.
Governors also visit the school from time to time.

Our board will study the submissions and invite formal applications from parents whose skills we are seeking.
I am keen to make an appointment in time for the start of the Spring term so any submissions should reach our Clerk by the end of school on November 29th. The role is open to anyone who has a child at either Solent Infant School or Solent Junior School.
